At Solace Psychotherapy Services, I encourage clients to take the time to explore whether we’d be a good fit before starting therapy. That’s why I offer a free 15-minute consultation, where we can talk about what brings you to therapy, what you’re looking for in a therapist, and how I work. This gives you a chance to get a sense of my approach and ask any questions you may have—no pressure or commitment required

Yes, we offer in-person sessions at our location in Ottawa, as well as online counselling via video and phone across Ontario.

At Solace Psychotherapy Services, I work primarily with adults and young adults (ages 18 and up). My approach is centered on creating a safe, supportive space for individuals navigating challenges related to relationships, anxiety, depression, attachment, life transitions, and personal growth.

Please note that psychotherapy services are not covered by OHIP, but many extended health insurance plans provide coverage for sessions with a Registered Psychotherapist. It’s always a good idea to confirm your coverage details with your provider.

Yes, sliding scale rates/lower costs rates may be available, especially for sessions with Registered Psychotherapists. Inquire directly with us to learn more.

Typically, sessions last 50 minutes to an hour. However, the exact duration can be discussed with the therapist during the initial consultation.

At Solace Psychotherapy Services, my work is grounded in Attachment-Based Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), helping clients deepen self-awareness, build secure connections, and heal emotional wounds.

I also integrate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) when appropriate, tailoring each session to your unique needs and goals.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and insight-oriented—focused on creating meaningful, lasting change rather than quick fixes.

Yes. At Solace Psychotherapy Services, all therapy is provided by a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).

This ensures that all services meet the professional, ethical, and clinical standards set by the CRPO, providing clients with safe, competent, and confidential care.

Most insurance plans or extended health benefit plans cover counselling from a Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Social Worker. It’s recommended to check with your insurance provider to determine the coverage. Note that OHIP does not cover Psychotherapy or Social Work services. However, counselling with a Registered Psychotherapist or Social Worker is tax-deductible.

After your session, you’ll pay for it and receive a receipt. Simply take this receipt to your insurance provider’s website and submit the information. Once done, your insurance provider will evaluate and determine your reimbursement.
